49ers: 3 Implications from Jimmy Garoppolo’s Torn ACL

The worst possible scenario happened to the 49ers on Sunday. San Francisco lost its starting quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo to a torn ACL.

The most talked about player going into the 2018 season is done for the year. The first year of his lucrative 137.5 million dollar contract ends after just three games.

It’s unfortunate for the 49ers most of all as Garoppolo has been a catalyst for the offense’s success during the eight games he played. Now Kyle Shanahan will need to utilize an offensive attack with the weapons he’s left with, and the rest of the 49ers will need to step up.
