San Francisco 49ers: 3 Keys to Victory in Week 2 vs. Lions

The San Francisco 49ers are looking to bounce back after a grueling loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1. Let’s see what they need to do to get the win in Week 2 at home over the visiting Detroit Lions.

The San Francisco 49ers are coming off an ugly 24-16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1. From the sloppy play on offense and a game that saw their franchise quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, get humbled, they’re looking to bounce back against a Detroit Lions team that was embarrassed in their home opener against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.

The Niners have some Week 1 bright spots, though, as the defense looked phenomenal against a stout Vikings offense. Plus with some strong play from players like defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, linebacker Fred Warner and tight end George Kittle, the team should be able to capitalize on these performances and show improvement at home in Week 2.

This week, they’re going to have their home opener against those Lions, who are also looking to get back on track.

Luckily for the 49ers, they have more time to look over game film and see what they can do against their upcoming opponent, given Detroit’s short week after its prime-time appearance.

Here are three keys to victory for the 49ers that will get them their first win of the season.
