49ers: 4 goals for San Francisco in the 2020 NFL season

The San Francisco 49ers came up short in their efforts of winning the Super Bowl in 2019, but they are well equipped to contend again this season. During the offseason, they faced a restrictive salary cap situation but got creative to maintain their impressive roster.

For starters, the 49ers elected to trade DeForest Buckner to the Indianapolis Colts for the No. 13 selection in the 2020 NFL Draft. That resulted in the selection of former South Carolina standout Javon Kinlaw and should help replace a fair amount of Buckner’s impact while on a rookie contract.

In order to add another wide receiver after losing Emmanuel Sanders in free agency, the 49ers turned to the NFL Draft once again. San Francisco traded up to the No. 25 spot and used that draft choice to take former Arizona State star Brandon Aiyuk.

Lastly, the 49ers helped to replace the retired Joe Staley by completing a trade with the Washington Football Team for Trent Williams. It was the last piece in the puzzle to help cover the losses they had experienced earlier in the offseason.

The final product of what the 49ers had achieved in the offseason has earned them the label as the most complete team in the NFC. Overall, they appear primed to follow up their breakthrough 2019 campaign with another impressive performance.

With that being said, let’s take a look at four goals the San Francisco 49ers should have during the 2020 season.
