5. Wide Receiver, Trent Taylor
Back to the receivers, Taylor has found himself lost in the mix.
He’s put together just 18 catches for 138 yards and one touchdown. He provided the team what he’s capable of in week five when he put up seven catches for 61 yards and a touchdown. However, everything else has found him being lost in the background.
Taylor came into this season as the go-to-guy on third downs. But with the continued improvement of other young players like Kendrick Bourne and his best friend George Kittle, it’s been hard for the undersized receiver.
If the Louisiana Tech product wants to make an impact, then he will need to continue bringing what made him a reliable option in his rookie year. He’s arguably the best route runner on the team as well as someone with consistent catching ability. Not to mention he’s a great option as a punt returner as well.
If he can carry over what made him so trusted by quarterbacks in 2017 right now, then we will see a bigger season for the scrappy 24-year-old.
