The San Francisco 49ers faced a momentary setback in their offensive prowess when star wide receiver Deebo Samuel exited their Divisional Round matchup against the Green Bay Packers last week.

The question on everyone’s mind: would they have to face the NFC Championship Game against the Detroit Lions without him?

Fortunately, the answer is a resounding no.

In a media announcement on Friday, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan delivered the reassuring news that Deebo Samuel had been removed from the injury report ahead of Sunday’s game. Samuel had been grappling with a shoulder injury throughout the week, raising concerns about his availability.

Throughout the past season, Samuel showcased his exceptional skills by amassing over 1,100 yards from scrimmage and scoring an impressive 12 touchdowns.

His consistency was remarkable, with an average of at least 10 receptions per game in all but four of the matches he played, while also boasting an impressive catch rate, snaring more than two-thirds of the passes thrown his way.

Reflecting on last year’s NFC Championship Game, where an injury to Brock Purdy arguably derailed the 49ers’ Super Bowl aspirations, it’s evident that the team is determined to keep their key players in optimal health. This is especially crucial as they prepare to face a Detroit Lions team that, much like last year’s Philadelphia Eagles, poses a considerable threat.

As the 49ers gear up for the NFC Championship Game, there’s no doubt that Deebo Samuel’s presence will loom large and play a pivotal role in their quest for victory.
