There really is no greater feeling than when Week 1 of the regular season finally kicks off. That feeling gets amplified when we’re all treated to a magnificent matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Minnesota Vikings. This game could not have received any more hype.
The Vikings, looking to return to the NFC championship with newly signed quarterback Kirk Cousins. The 49ers, who now have a legit quarterback in Jimmy Garoppolo.
The 49ers hit the road to take on the runner ups of the NFC. Unfortunately for the Niners, they fell short in Minneapolis 24-16 in a game filled with mistakes and self-inflicted wounds. That, and the Vikings’ talent on both sides of the ball was just too much to overcome.
The Vikings were just a bully all game long, but the 49ers didn’t give up for single second. There was a lot to take away from this game for both teams. When it comes to the Niners, there were five takeaways that need to be mentioned.
Let’s take a look at what those takeaways are from Week 1.
I don’t know what happened to Pierre Garcon but this is the worst I’ve ever seen him play. He looked as if he intentionally threw the ball down with one of his drops. I was not a fan of him today n if this keeps up we will find someone who can catch the ball that wants a job
