49ers: What to expect from Richard Sherman in 2020

Richard Sherman and the San Francisco 49ers are getting ready to open up training camp to prepare for the upcoming 2020 NFL season. After a very strange offseason due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 49ers are still being viewed as one of the top teams in the league. In fact, many believe they will be the best team in the NFC once again.

If the 49ers are going to take another step forward in 2020, they will need to see their secondary take a step forward. San Francisco came up just short in the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes picked their secondary apart.

Obviously, the 49ers are very comfortable with Sherman as their No. 1 cornerback. However, there are some that believe age will become a factor this season.

During the 2019 season with San Francisco, Sherman ended up recording 61 total tackles to go along with three interceptions, a defensive touchdown, and 11 defended passes. Not bad for a guy who is 32 years old now and has had an Achilles injury.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at what the 49ers and their fans should be expecting from Richard Sherman in 2020.
