4. Chargers Running Game Remains Nonexistent

Throughout the season, the Chargers have struggled to run the ball. They were 28th in attempts and 30th in rushing yards. Part of that was the offensive line struggling to create holes, but they aren’t going to find much success against the Jaguars.

In the first meeting, the Chargers managed only 26 yards on the ground, rushing the ball 12 times. Austin Ekeler was held to five yards on four attempts while Sony Michel, who isn’t even on the team anymore, had 22 yards on five carries.

Los Angeles will attempt more runs this time around, but will once again be stifled. The Jaguars had an above-average rush defense this season and they know they have the pieces to stop the Chargers, already accomplishing it once. Ekeler and Joshua Kelley won’t combine for more than 70 yards on the ground.

3. Chargers Pass Rush Gets Home

The Jaguars had one of the better offensive line units in the NFL this season, as they were able to keep Lawrence clean throughout the season. He was sacked only 27 times, but starting left tackle Cam Robinson went down with an injury in Week 15 against the Dallas Cowboys.

His absence will be felt throughout the evening as the Chargers have a formidable pass-rushing duo in Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa. Los Angeles received a scare last week when Bosa was removed from the game because of an injury, but he looks set to take the field this weekend.

Both players will register at least one sack on Lawrence, taking advantage of the seldom-used Walker Little who has been inserted into the starting lineup.
