2. Tom Brady Goes Out Throwing
For two years running, Tom Brady has led the NFL in passing attempts and completions. It’s not too shocking that the Buccaneers want the ball in the hands of the greatest quarterback ever as often as possible, but he accomplished that at 44 and 45 years old.
In potentially his last game with the Buccaneers, Brady will once again air it out early and often. It is the best chance that Tampa Bay has to win the game as their rushing offense has been brutal all season behind a shaky offensive line.
Against the Cowboys, he will attempt at least 50+ pass attempts for the sixth time this season and will complete 38 of them. Brady will rack up 350+ yards and two touchdowns in a throwback performance with one interception.
1. Cowboys Pick Up The Win
The Cowboys are receiving a lot of flack for how they played in Week 18 and rightfully so. It was an embarrassing performance given what was on the line. But, they have at least looked like an elite team at times this season; the same cannot be said about the Buccaneers.
Tampa Bay benefitted from playing in one of the worst divisions in the NFL, the NFC South, which was the only division to have a team not finish the regular season with a record above the .500 mark.
Brady will do everything he can to keep the team afloat, but the Cowboys have a lot to prove this postseason. With his job potentially on the line, Mike McCarthy will build a stronger case to stay picking up the team’s first playoff victory since the 2018 season when they beat the Seattle Seahawks.
