Saints Advance to 1-0 in Convincing Fashion

The matchups between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints often featured intriguing shoot-outs with Jameis Winston. In fact, the showdowns the two NFC South rivals would have with each other were some of the more underrated matchups in the NFL.

The Saints are not a favorable matchup for the Buccaneers, to say the least. New Orleans has a high octane offense that is difficult for any team. It’s only going to get more difficult after the Saints improved the offensive line and added Emmanuel Sanders for the No. 2 receiver role.

When factoring in the fact that the Saints will have Marshon Lattimore to slow down Mike Evans, the Buccaneers will need the rest of their unit to step up. It won’t be enough since New Orleans is much deeper defensively than just a shutdown corner.

The Saints will advance to 1-0 with a convincing win over the Buccaneers. This type of victory would go a long way in sending a message that New Orleans is still the top team in the NFC South. It would put Tampa Bay in a tough position to have to regain the tie breaker later.
