Malcolm Brown Outrushes Ezekiel Elliott
This isn’t a slight on Ezekiel Elliott, rather than just a statement on how the Cowboys could run their offense in Week 1 as there is so much firepower in their passing game, including Elliott.
Elliott will make most of his noise in the passing game in Week 1, because the Cowboys can really keep the Rams off-balanced with all of the talented players who can catch the football, then make plays. Elliott is one of those players, and don’t be surprised when he turns short passes into nice gains.
This is not to overlook Brown, as he’s got the task of not only replacing Todd Gurley on a full-time basis, but he has to improve on his 255 yards rushing and five touchdowns gained last season. Getting off to a strong start to the season against the Cowboys will be important for Brown.
Brown will get the job done in Week 1 by having near 100 yards rushing with one touchdown run against the Cowboys. This will be more than enough production to give the Rams confidence in his abilities.
