5 bold predictions for Eagles vs. Washington in Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season

The 2020 NFL season is rapidly approaching and there will be no shortage of intriguing Week 1 matchups. The NFC East will have a rivalry matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Football Team.

Last season, the Eagles managed to get the win against Washington in both of their matchups. However, despite Washington having the second-worst record in the NFL in 2019, Philadelphia didn’t win by massive margins.

On Sept. 8, the Eagles withstood a performance from Case Keenum that featured 380 yards and 3 touchdowns en route to a 32-27 win. A key factor in that was Carson Wentz managing to keep pace. Both DeSean Jackson and Terry McLaurin put on a show with Philadelphia coming out on top.

It was the Miles Sanders show in the Week 15 rematch and the Eagles managed to win 37-27 this time around. The standout rookie running back took on the full-time starter role and registered 122 rushing yards and added a touchdown.

This NFL season will begin with yet another matchup between the Eagles and Washington. It will serve as a strong measure for where each team it at after a strange offseason and a league-year that featured a calendar without any preseason action.

With that, let’s take a look at five bold predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Football Team matchup in Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season.
