Darius Slay Keeps Terry McLaurin in Check
The Washington Football Team does not have a lot for second-year quarterback Dwayne Haskins to work with. However, the team does have a real standout at wide receiver in Terry McLaurin and the Philadelphia Eagles will have their work cut out for them to slow him down.
Last season, the Eagles failed to get the job done against McLaurin. He managed to come out of the gate hot with 5 catches for 125 yards and 1 touchdown in Week 1 against Philadelphia in 2019.
Next up, McLaurin followed up his original performance against the Eagles with another dynamic outing. He produced 5 catches, 130 yards, and 1 touchdown in his Week 1 display against Philadelphia.
There is something different about the Eagles this time around. The team now has Darius Slay in the No. 1 cornerback role and he’s going to be tasked with checking McLaurin. With the rest of the unit set out to slow him down as well, Philadelphia should keep him in check this time around.
