5 bold predictions for Jets vs. Bills in Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season

The AFC East has a different feel heading into 2020. Tom Brady is finally out of the division which means that the New England Patriots’ reign of dominance could be over. This is good news for the Buffalo Bills. They will look to take over the division starting with a Week 1 matchup with the New York Jets.

The Bills were a postseason team in 2019 while the Jets were not. These are two teams headed in different directions for the upcoming season. Buffalo is expected to be a force in the division, especially after adding Stefon Diggs in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings.

The Jets used their first round pick on Mekhi Becton out of Louisville. They are hoping that he can turn into an elite left tackle and staple along their offensive line. This was a main for us for the Jets. They completely revamped their offensive line in hope of protecting Sam Darnold and helping him take the next step.

Where the concerns are for the Jets is within their receiving corps and the departure of Robby Anderson certainly did not help. Additionally, their defense will take a step back after trading away Jamal Adams to the Seattle Seahawks.

With that being said, let’s take a look at five bold predictions for the New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills matchup in Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season.
