3. A.J. Green Catches Two Touchdowns
A.J. Green had not played in an NFL game since December of 2018. In his return to the field, Green saw five catches for 51 yards. He was on the receiving end of vital first downs, and kept a few drives alive.
In the second quarter, Green ran through a busted coverage, but Joe Burrow overthrew the veteran receiver. In the final seconds of the game, A.J. Green seemed to have scored the gaming winning touchdown. The call was overturned due to an offensive pass interference on Green.
Following the game, Burrow vowed that he wouldn’t make the mistake of overthrowing Green again. And Green will be sure to give Burrow more open looks.
A.J. Green should have a field day against a beaten up and injured Browns’ secondary. The Browns gave up three passing touchdowns to the Ravens and the Bengals have a superior skill group than that of Baltimore. Look for Green to dominate against this young secondary.
