5. Joe Mixon Will Rush for Over 100 Yards
The Bengals have had two games that they will look back on as games that were totally winnable. Close losses can highlight what is going well and especially what is not going well for a team.
One thing that has been abundantly clear for Cincinnati so far this season is that the offensive is not better than it was last year when it was one of the worst in the league. Regardless of coaches and front office personnel giving praise throughout the offseason, this is an area that has plagued the team and created problems for the Joe Burrow. The best way to fix this issue is to let Joe Mixon run the ball more.
Mixon has shown over the last two years that he can run with a bad offensive line in front of him. If he can get the running game going, the defense will have to respect that and stop trying to force the Bengals to throw the ball.
Even though the line won’t improve, they will have less to worry about if Mixon is rushing well. Zac Taylor should look to feed Mixon a lot in this game, and Mixon will produce his first 100-yard rushing performance on the season.
