3. Big Ben Turns Back the Clock

It can take a few games for a quarterback who’s coming off an injury to establish a rhythm for themself. For Ben Roethlisberger, that could especially be the case since his injury was to his elbow on his throwing arm.

In Week 1, Roethlisberger put together a solid overall outing. He completed 21-of-32 (65.6%) pass attempts resulting in 229 passing yards and three touchdown throws. However, there was some moments where he noticeably wasn’t in pre-injury form.

The Broncos being without Von Miller strongly diminishes their pass rush capabilities, along with Bradley Chubb not being in form yet either. That will help Roethlisberger with having the necessary conditions in the pocket to take shots downfield.

When Roethlisberger’s performance against the Broncos is over, don’t be surprised if his stat line has figures in excess of 300 yards with three touchdown throws without any turnovers.
