Chris Godwin Will Have Over 100 Receiving Yards
After making his 1st pro bowl last year, Chris Godwin has gotten off to a slow start in 2020, dealing with some injuries. At first, he suffered a concussion that kept him sidelined and then it was a hamstring injury that kept him sidelined. But, he is finally back and looks the best he has all year long.
Coach Arians commented on the health and outlook of Godwin before their game against the Packers. Godwin looked sharp in the win, recording 5 catches for 48 yards. Brady likes to spread the ball around, but he has developed good chemistry with Mike Evans, who has 6 touchdowns on the year.
A large part of that was due to the injuries that Godwin was dealing with. Now that Godwin is healthy, expect him to have a big game against a Vegas secondary that has been struggling. The Las Vegas Raiders have the 24th ranked passing defense in the NFL, allowing an average of 393.6 yards per game. Expect Brady to have a field day against this Vegas defense.
While the Vegas defensive front is solid in generating pressure, the Tampa Bay offensive line will be able to hold them off. With the amount of weaponry in Tampa Bay, I do not see the Vegas secondary honing in on one exact target. Having to worry about Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Ronald Jones, Leonard Fournette and Rob Gronkowski is no fun.
I expect Godwin to have a big day as he will catch a lot of intermediate routes. I am going to predict a 7 catch, 94 yard, 1 touchdown game for Godwin on Sunday Night Football.
