5 bold predictions for the Buccaneers vs. Broncos matchup in Week 3

The Denver Broncos and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are two teams trending in different directions. The Bucs seem to have figured out their backfield while the Broncos lost a key member of their team on Sunday.

The Buccaneers picked up their first win of the Tom Brady era on Sunday when they took down the Carolina Panthers with 31-17 being the final score. Leonard Fournette broke out in this one to the tune of 103 yards and two touchdowns.

It is hard to imagine Fournette not being the starter moving forward. In the absence of Chris Godwin, Mike Evans stepped up and finished with 104 yards and a touchdown. This is an offense that will continue to mesh and improve as the weeks go on.

Denver received unfortunate news that their No. 1 receiver Courtland Sutton will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. Drew Lock left Sunday’s matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers with a shoulder injury. He will be sidelined for two to six weeks with a sprained AC joint.

The Broncos signed Blake Bortles on Tuesday. Jeff Driskel replaced Lock Sunday and almost led Denver to an upset victory. He finished 18-of-34 (52.9%) for 256 yards with two touchdowns and an interception en route to a 26-21 loss to the Steelers.

On paper, this is a one-sided matchup, but anything is possible on an NFL Sunday.

With that being said, let’s take a look at five bold for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Denver Broncos matchup in Week 3 of the 2020 NFL season.
