The Cardinals, through three weeks of 2020, have looked like a team on the rise. Even in the excitement around Kyler Murray and the Arizona offense– they’ve been a team that has exceeded the expectations that their five-win 2019 season created. In Week 3, however, they lost their way a bit, dropping a close game to the Detroit Lions that, on paper, they should have handled.

The Panthers have been the opposite. A team with low expectations heading into the season that had been living up to the lack of hype through two weeks of the season had something of a breakout in Week 3, beating a heavily favored Chargers team to earn their first win of the season.
