The Week 1 NFL action was full of entertaining matchups. For the Kansas City Chiefs, they began the season with a blowout win over the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers’ win came down to the wire against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Last season, the Chiefs managed to sweep the season-series with the Chargers. Neither of Kansas City’s wins were overly lopsided in nature as they won 24-17 Estadio Azteca Stadium on Nov. 18 and followed it up with a 31-21 victory at Arrowhead Stadium in late-Dec.
The Chiefs will look to make it business as usual against the Chargers by coming away with a win. The expectations are as high for Kansas City as any team in the NFL and coming up short in an early-season division matchup would be a disappointment.
Managing to get a win against the reigning AFC West champions would be a huge momentum boost for the Chargers. They would have a 2-0 record heading into their Week 3 matchup with an underwhelming Carolina Panthers squad.
