Week five in the NFL puts together two teams— the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins— that were heading in opposite directions a year ago. The 49ers made it to the Super Bowl and felt like they added enough pieces to make another run in the NFC and repeat as NFC Champions.
Now sitting at 2-2 and looking up at the 4-0 Seattle Seahawks, the 49ers know that they cannot afford many more mistakes if they want any chance at winning the division.
Meanwhile, the Miami Dolphins started the “Tank for Tua” mantra and ultimately ended up taking him with the fifth overall pick in the 2020 draft. So far Miami has taken a developmental position by allowing Ryan Fitzpatrick to be the team’s quarterback.
Fitzpatrick will get the start against the 49ers and is hoping to continue fighting off the young quarterback for the starting position. At 1-3, the Dolphins are hoping that they can continue growing and learning this year.
With both teams having different hopes for the season, here are five bold predictions for the game.
