2. Aaron Donald Wreaks Havoc On The Giants
It’s a nightmare for any team to try to keep Aaron Donald in check. That’s particularly the case for a Giants team that sorely lacks the necessary impact from its offensive line to keep their young quarterback away from being consistently pressured and sacked.
The Giants’ offensive line has sorely struggled with keeping the opposition’s pass rush from getting to Jones— expecting anything to change against a tough Rams defense is asking for disappointment.
The impact Donald makes on a given game was on display in Week 3 during the Rams’ loss to the Bills. He managed to record two sacks along with six combined tackles (two for loss), three QB hits, and one forced, and a fumble recovery.
By the time Donald calls it a night, he will have racked up two sacks and a forced fumble against this Giants offense. There’s little New York has to offer as a solution to slow him down— putting Jones in various situations to get sacked and potentially fumble.
