Houston Texans Will Win The Time Of Possession

The Tennessee Titans bread and butter is their run game. They like to control the clock and wear the opposing defense out with their grueling run game featuring King Henry. The Titans have been able to win the time of possession in two of their four games. It hasn’t mattered yet as they have blown most teams out.

The Houston Texans have not won the time of possession in any of their first five games. Granted, their schedule has been brutal and they have faced legit super bowl contending teams in Kansas City, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Minnesota. This week, they go up against one of the hottest teams in the league. The Texans run game isn’t great, which hurts them tremendously in controlling the clock.

But, against Tennessee they will need to find ways to keep Derrick Henry off the field. Deshaun Watson will need to be smart with the ball and dink and dunk his way down the field. The big play ability of Watson also includes his excellent feet in the pocket. Watson needs to use to his legs to rush for first downs and keep the clock ticking.

The Titans defense is one of the better ones in the league. They will be able to get pressure on Watson as the Texans have one of the worst offensive lines in the league. But, the Texans need to scheme up a game plan that will allow them to win the time of possession.
