Joe Flacco will be sacked 5 times

The Jets offense has issues at every phase. The offensive line is struggling this year. Sam Darnold is a much more athletic QB than Joe Flacco. With Darnold’s injury, Flacco is coming in against a solid Dolphins pass rush. Miami ranks 8th with 2.8 sacks per game.

However, the teams they’ve played either have very good offensive lines or athletic QB’s. This week could be their best game from a sack total standpoint.

One reason the Jets are having such trouble protecting the QB is because their wideouts inability to get open. Losing Le’veon Bell adds more pressure to the passing game. New York will have to rely on quick timing throws if they want to succeed this week. That’s never been Joe Flacco’s strongest point.

The Dolphins have a very sneaky pass rush. Miami doesn’t have any star pass rushers. However, they have a lot of very solid pass rushers. It is hard for teams to prepare for team that has such variety. The Jets will struggle against Miami’s pass rush. The Dolphins will end the game with at least 5 sacks.
