5 bold predictions for the Jets vs. Dolphins matchup in Week 6

This will be Adam Gase’s last game with the Jets

The Adam Gase era in New York hasn’t been pretty. There was a lot of hope with the addition of Le’veon Bell. There was a ton of hype surrounding Sam Darnold. The defense was adding pieces early on and there was a lot of hope. However, Adam Gase has been a constant detriment towards their offensive progression.

As a GM, Gase never truly brought in receiving help for Sam Darnold. He did not mold the offense around his players, instead he tried to have his players fit in his offense. He signed Le’Veon Bell and then completely wasted his skillset. The signing of Adam Gase was surprising, but there was some hope surrounding him. However, all of that potential and hype eventually turned into disappointment.

Adam Gase was hired in the hopes that he could groom Sam Darnold. Gase did a decent job as an offensive coordinator in Denver and Chicago. However, he really was never a very good head coach. He was even worse as a General Manager. He will likely land somewhere as a QB Coach or offensive coordinator. However, I don’t see him landing as a Head Coach in the NFL for a while.
