Lions, Packers
NFL Analysis Network

The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions are set to play the latest installment of their rivalry on Sunday afternoon. It may only be Week 2, but both of these teams know just how important this game could end up being at the end of the year.

Aaron Rodgers and company are fresh off of a big-time 43-34 win over the Minnesota Vikings last week. Their offense look unstoppable and the defense is looking to step up in Week 2. The Packers are without a doubt a serious contender in the NFC this season.

As for the Lions, they were unable to defeat the Chicago Bears last week. Despite having a huge lead entering the fourth quarter, the Lions gave up 21 unanswered points and lost. Matthew Stafford found an open D’Andre Swift in the end zone on the final drive of the game, but the rookie running back dropped the pass.

While the Packers are definitely favored to win this game, the Lions are not a team to take lightly. Detroit has a lot of talent on their roster and are more than capable of winning football games against teams considered better than them.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at five bold predictions for the Lions vs. Packers matchup in Week 2.
