3. Patriots’ Offense Will Put Up 400+ Yards…Again
In the first two games of the 2020 season, the New England Patriots have collected 821 yards on offense, averaging 410.5 yards per game. With the earlier prediction of Sony Michel having 100 yards rushing, that leaves over 300 yards to be gained if they reach their season average.
This is where Cam Newton comes in, and with this being his third game with the franchise, Josh McDaniels can start getting more creative with the New England offense.
With Julian Edelman averaging 18.2 yards per reception and N’Keal Harry averaging 8.5 yards per reception, expect both receivers to add to those numbers in Week 3. Seeing Newton start to get back to his past ways before his injury last season, the Patriots might have made one of the most important moves of the offseason when they signed Newton as their quarterback to work with their talented receivers.
Edelman and Harry have the potential to be a special duo for the Patriots this season, and with Newton regaining his form, even facing a solid Raiders secondary, the feeling is the Patriots can have a good day on offense as they continue to work to improve as this season continues.
