2. Carson Wentz Underachieves
It’s no secret the Eagles’ offense struggled to get the job done against the Washington Football Team. A key reason for that was the inability for Carson Wentz to transcend poor offensive line play with a strong outing.
In Week 1, Wentz completed just 24-of-42 (57.2%) pass attempts resulting in 270 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. He also fumbled twice and Washington came away with possession of 1 of them.
Against an impressive Rams defense that will have a real advantage in the trenches and in the secondary, a strong outing from Wentz will be difficult to pull off.
Another outing with a sub-60 percent completion rate and multiple turnovers is a real possibility for Wentz. There just won’t be enough support from the Eagles for him and that’s an issue as he isn’t able to transcend it.
