5 bold predictions for the Rams vs. Washington matchup in Week 5

The Los Angeles Rams will face their second straight NFC East opponent when they travel to FedEx Field to take on Washington. These two teams are having seasons that are trending in completely opposite directions.

The Rams slid by the New York Giants in Week 4 thanks to a long touchdown connection between Jared Goff and Cooper Kupp. They came out flat against an inferior Giants’ team. This is something they cannot allow to happen again against another lesser team. The Rams’ offense has been strong to begin the season and the backfield is working out well with Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson.

Washington has struggled on the offensive end. Their front seven has looked like the real deal but took a hit when Chase Young and Matt Ioannidis were injured during a Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Washington will be facing their second straight tough task as they welcome the Rams to town after getting back from Baltimore. Dwayne Haskins will live to see another week after throwing for 314 yards with no turnovers against the Ravens.

This is another big spread with Washington as underdogs. Even though they are home, this is a lopsided game on paper. Here are five predictions for this Week 5 matchup.
