5 bold predictions for the Ravens vs. Eagles matchup in Week 6

Eagles, Travis Fulgham

Travis Fulgham Gets Another 10+ Catch Game

Terrell Ownes. Desean Jackson. And now, after a few years of trial and error of drafting and free agent moves at the wide receiver position, the Philadelphia Eagles might have found their heir apparent in the hall of great Eagles receivers– some dude from Old Dominion.

That aforementioned ‘dude’ is Travis Fulgham, who emerged from the depth of Philadelphia’s already shallow wide receiver roster and has made a name for himself over the past two weeks, catching a touchdown pass in Week 4 as a tease of what he could do, before exploding onto the scene in Week 5.

Fulgham did more than enough to cement himself as a part of Philadelphia’s starting rotation against the Pittsburgh Steelers, coming away with another touchdown and 152 yards on 10 catches on an Eagles passing attack in desperate need of a spark. And in Week 6, watch for Fulgham to continue his dominance.

The Baltimore Ravens secondary could be a tough matchup for the young receiver, but having a career-defining show against the Pittsburgh Steelers shows that Fulgham can put up numbers against even the toughest NFL defenses. And even if he does struggle to create separation against Marlon Humphrey or Marcus Peters, Carson Wentz and the Eagles offense have shown no aversion to force-feeding targets to their burgeoning star.

In a game against an explosive Ravens offense, the Eagles might be forced to throw early and often to stay in the game. Expect Travis Fulgham to be the main beneficiary of that.
