2. Marquise Brown Will Set Career-High in Receiving Yards
Marquise Brown put in a ton of work over this offseason. Although he had some impressive moments last season, he was not a consistent No. 1 target. That was not a surprise considering he was a rookie wideout still getting acclimated to the NFL level.
Now, as a second-year player, Brown is going to come out and show why he’s a true top target in an NFL offense. He could be in for a Pro Bowl season this year when it’s all said and done. The workout regime and diet for Brown was intense requiring a 4,000 calorie diet to add 23 pounds in two months.
While he was impressive last year, Brown was just scratching the surface. For a majority of the season Brown was hurt. He is now fully healthy, and he was impressive in his opening week. He’s also much better equipped to be able to use physicality to win at the point of attack with his added muscle.
If Brown could stay healthy throughout the entire season, the Ravens have a true weapon at wide receiver. This was the one weak point of the Ravens offense. However, if Brown reaches his full potential then this offense could be even better than last season.
Hollywood Brown is an incredible athlete. He is one of the fastest wide receivers in the NFL. He truly has Tyreek Hill level potential. With the added muscle, Brown adds some strength to go along with his speed. Lamar Jackson will look to expose this somewhat suspect Texans secondary. The player who will benefit most from that is the Ravens young speedster.
