DK Metcalf Will Have 3 Receiving Touchdowns
While Tyler Locket has been phenomenal, DK Metcalf is quickly emerging as one of the league’s top big-play threats. Through the first three weeks, Metcalf has only caught four receptions in each game. However, he’s had at least 90 receiving yards and a touchdown in each game.
Truthfully, it should have been a massive performance last week for Metcalf, but a mental error where Cowboys safety Trevon Diggs slapped the ball out of his hands as he was just about to cross the pylon made a real impact.
Metcalf is an athletic freak who is a nightmare for opposing corners. The Dolphins’ small-framed corners will have trouble containing Metcalf this week. He will be able to do damage in the red zone as a big jump-ball threat and will strike on deep passes as a burner. At the end of the game, it could be a career night for Metcalf.
As good as Metcalf has been, Russell Wilson’s ability to throw perfect deep passes has been a major influence on Metcalf’s early success. Many projected him as being more of a project player with all the tools to be great, but still had to refine his game.
After just one season, Metcalf is showing Julio Jones level potential. Metcalf will break his career-high and get three receiving TDs this week.
