5. Chase Young Goes Off vs. Mistake-Prone QB
When the Washington Football Team selected Chase Young with the number two overall pick in the NFL draft there were plenty of expectations for the former Ohio State star, but perhaps the biggest was that he was a lock to win defensive rookie of the year.
So far, the rookie has 2.5 sacks through the first two games and has looked dominant on the line. Young will have to continue to elevate his game in order to help Washington find success, but this is a breakout type game for the youngster.
Cleveland has a pair of very talented running backs who will be relied upon heavily in this game to move the ball and create space for the passing game. This will be Young’s biggest test yet for how he can hold up and stop the run. Look for Young to set a career high in total tackles in this game and record two sacks against Mayfield.
Mayfield can hold the ball for too long, especially when pressure comes early and that is where Young specializes. Welcome to the coming-out party for Chase Young announcing that he can be one of the best ends in the league.
