Saquon Barkley, Giants

Saquan Barkley, New York Giants

No player was as hyped coming out of college as Saquan Barkley. The amazing thing is, he lived up to that hype. Barkley is one of the most reliable backs in the NFL between his insane combination of speed, power, and elusiveness. This season, he may establish himself as the best back in the NFL.

The New York Giants’ offensive line is quietly becoming one of the best in the NFL. After drafting tackle Andrew Thomas, things are only getting better for Barkley. It is possible that Barkley leads all backs in every statistical category. He is that talented. If he can lead the Giants to the playoffs, it’s a real possibility he enters talks for MVP.

The issue with Barkley is the same as Dalvin Cook. Barkley must play all 16 games this season. The Giants also need to make the playoffs, which is going to be tough. However, if Daniel Jones plays well it opens up even more running lanes for Saquan. Barkley could emerge as the dark horse MVP this upcoming season.
