5 early reasons the Saints are undoubtedly a Super Bowl favorite in 2020

Drew Brees

Drew Brees, the 41-year-old quarterback, can still sling it. Despite missing five games last season due to hand surgery, he still has a solid season. His first game back from returning that season, he threw for 373 yards and three touchdowns. So not even a surgically repaired hand could stop Brees.

Brees signed a two-year deal this offseason. With retirement looming around the quarterback, Brees will be motivated to win-now. With his window closing, he understands he needs another ring to solidify his legacy.

While team success is probably more important to him, a little nudge knowing this could be his last hurrah maybe the small bit of motivation this team needs to reach that mountain top.
