5 early reasons the Saints are undoubtedly a Super Bowl favorite in 2020

Defense

In years past there have been Saints teams that were talented on offense but not so much on defense. That isn’t the case with the 2020 edition of the Saints. The past few years the defense has been loaded with talent.

New Orleans signed cornerback Janoris Jenkins this offseason to play opposite to Marshon Lattimore. Jenkins may be the Saints missing link to the Super Bowl. Not to mention, they also added a three-time Pro Bowl safety in Malcolm Jenkins to complement free safety Marcus Williams.

This defense looks to be fearsome. While the secondary is filled with ball hawks, the opposition still has to worry about their edge rusher Cameron Jordan. The sack machine piled up 15.5 sacks in 2019.
