Indianapolis Colts
Near the beginning of this offseason, the Indianapolis Colts made a splash move, sending the No. 13 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for DeForest Buckner. In doing so, the Colts proved that they are willing to part ways with a high draft pick if it means landing an All-Pro talent.
As of this moment, Indianapolis is slated to start Khari Willis at strong safety and Malik Hooker at free safety. Seeing that they didn’t pick up his fifth-year option, Hooker could be entering his final year with the Colts. Though, Indianapolis did add Julian Blackmon in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft as a possible replacement for Hooker.
But for Adams, joining the Colts could be beneficial, allowing him to finally play for a winning organization. Also, Matt Eberflus — the defensive coordinator in Indianapolis — would allow Adams to continue playing the same role he has with the Jets. Not to mention, the Colts have more than enough cap space to sign Adams long term, with them projected to have $110 million available in 2021 (most in the NFL).
