5 logical fits if the Jets choose to trade Jamal Adams

Dallas Cowboys

Ahead of the 2019 trade deadline, there were murmurs that the Jets and the Dallas Cowboys could discuss a trade involving Adams. Unfortunately for Adams, talks fell through and the Jets chose to move forward with him on the roster.

The only reason the Cowboys were immediately considered a possible landing spot is due to Adams being a Texas native. Also, Adams exclaimed that he ‘would’ve loved to go to the Cowboys‘ if a trade was going to take place last season.

Now, with another chance to pull the trigger, could Dallas finally put together a package to acquire Adams? Although, for the Cowboys, they would need to configure ways to free up some cap space to sign Adams. Maybe finally agreeing to an extension with Dak Prescott could free up enough money to absorb Adams’ contract and possibly give Dallas enough room to give Adams the extension he wants.
