4. Myles Jack
Despite a questionable PI towards the end of last weeks game, Myles Jack has played very well so far this season. He looks a lot more comfortable and his athleticism is shinning on the field. While he was very upset to lose the starting middle linebacker role this year, he is playing very good football as the weakside linebacker. This week he will need to have another quality game against a Dolphins offense that has some weapons.
Miami has two very good receivers in Preston Williams and DeVante Parker. However, one player who may lead the team in catches this year is tight end Mike Gesicki. The Dolphins tight end is emerging as a quality tight end and will be a focal point this week.
Last week, Jacksonville had a very hard time with Titans tight end Jonnu Smith. Gesicki has a similar skillset and size. Jacksonville may elect to have their best cover linebacker on him for a good amount of this week’s game.
While he has yet to make a Pro Bowl, there is no doubting Jack has the potential to get there. The Jaguars’ linebacker is only 25 years old and has some of his best football ahead of him. Jack is a team captain and a leader in the locker room. If Jacksonville is going to win this week, Jack will need to keep playing like he has the first two weeks. If he can maintain that level of play all season, we may see the Jaguars linebacker in the Pro-Bowl.
