The San Francisco 49ers had a terrific year in 2020, tearing through the NFC and marching into Super Bowl LIV. Things just didn’t quite go according to plan once they matched up with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

But now the 49ers are recharged and reloaded, ready to reclaim their title as conference champs. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has had plenty of time to study what went wrong during his team’s Super Bowl loss, while learning from what went right in the many victories leading up to it.
