4. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings are in the category mentioned earlier of a team on the cusp that is looking to catapult to the next level. Cousins signed an extension which means that Minnesota’s Super Bowl window is open, but not for much longer.
Minnesota had one of the top performances in the draft. They made 15 picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, nine of which were defensive players. Jeff Gladney and Justin Jefferson were their first round selections. Gladney was joined by Cameron Dantzler and Harrison Hand as new corners for the Vikings. What they need is a pass rusher.
Danielle Hunter has turned into a monster at getting to the quarterback. He is a franchise player on the defensive line. So why not add Yannick Ngakoue to the mix? That would be one of the top pass rushing duos in the league. There is no doubt that Ngakoue wants out of Jacksonville. He was not traded during the draft to the surprise of many. Minnesota could be a perfect trade partner.
The Vikings can become an even bigger contender with Ngakoue rushing the passer. They are already one of the top teams in the NFC and adding another pass rusher would only solidify that notion.
