The offseason is an ideal opportunity for teams to make helpful additions to their roster, whether being through free agency or using the NFL Draft. The 2020 offseason was no different and displayed plenty of notable player movement.
There was a lot of change that took place around the NFL this offseason. The main storyline involved Tom Brady departing from the New England Patriots and heading to the NFC South to joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, bringing Rob Gronkowski out of retirement along with him.
Some teams like the Cincinnati Bengals made significant additions in the NFL Draft by adding a talent like Joe Burrow to solidify their long-term future. Those are moves that will almost certainly pay off in a major way at some point and could exceed expectations early, but likely will take time to achieve wins.
Making roster changes can take a team to the next level but it isn’t always a guarantee to pan out. Additionally, the champion of the offseason rarely ends up being the same team that actually wins the Super Bowl, but regardless, it’s fascinating to dig into which changes will result in real impact.
