Tampa Bay Buccaneers
There has been a lot of changes to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ roster this offseason after posting a 7-9 record. The tone was set by the signing of Tom Brady and was followed up with the trade for Rob Gronkowski. When coupled with the likes of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, there’s a lot to like about their offense.
Perhaps the greatest improvement the Buccaneers will experience is in a potential shift in their offensive approach. Bruce Arians put too much pressure on Jameis Winston to produce big plays and overcompensate for an underwhelming roster. A different approach would go a long way.
The early round selections by the Buccaneers in the NFL Draft should also provide a boost. They managed to add a high-level offensive tackle prospect in Tristan Wirfs and that should provide a considerable boost to Tampa Bay’s overall offensive line.
Let’s not forget about the Buccaneers’ defense either even though significant changes weren’t made this offseason. They closed the 2019 season strong and added a versatile safety prospect in Antoine Winfield Jr. and that should provide a boost.
