Arizona Cardinals
Coming off a 5-10-1 record during the 2019 season, the Arizona Cardinals undoubtedly appear to be trending in the right direction. They established a foundation with Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury and will take a leap forward with better talent.
The major splash the Cardinals made was acquiring DeAndre Hopkins from the Houston Texans. They needed an elite receiver to set the tone and will provide Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald with easier matchups, making the offense more productive as a whole.
The free agency acquisitions the Cardinals made to the defense will undoubtedly help, too. They managed to add sign Jordan Philips and Treon Coley to the defensive line and also Devon Kennard and De’Vondre Campbell at the outside linebacker spots.
The greatest addition of all for the Cardinals’ defense was the selection of Isaiah Simmons at No. 8 in the NFL Draft. The versatile inside linebacker will help the NFL’s worst defense against tight ends while improving their ability to cover pass-catching backs, cover the slot, and stop the run.
