Seattle Seahawks
While the Seattle Seahawks didn’t make much noise in the playoffs last season, it was still a productive overall campaign posting an 11-5 record. They are facing difficult circumstances when it comes to the makeup of their 2020 schedule and already a candidate to regress.
A key factor to consider is the Seahawks went 5-1 in ‘coin flip’ games last season, per Five Thirty Eight’s Ty Schalter. The NFC West has improved and it will be more difficult to get wins agains tteams like the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams.
There are questions surrounding the offensive line the Seahawks will field but they did make legitimate strides in the personnel for their passing attack. Allowing a league-most 48 sacks is concerning considering there wasn’t significant improvement to their pass blocking capabilities.
It remains unclear if Jadeveon Clowney will decide to return to the Seahawks when he makes his free agency decision. While they signed Bruce Irvin, it would be less than ideal for Seattle to try using him as their primary threat on the edge in pass-rush situations.
