D.K. Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks

There was some doubt from experts about D.K. Metcalf’s ability to succeed at the professional level after he struggled on the agility testing portion of the NFL Scouting Combine. That talk was quickly dispelled and he appears on track to raise his game further for the Seattle Seahawks.

It didn’t take long for Russell Wilson to make Metcalf a regular component of the Seahawks’ offense. He ended up being one of the more productive rookie receivers from his class as he totaled 58 catches, 900 yards, and 7 touchdowns.

Something to remember is that Metcalf displayed a real ability to reach a few higher gears in his impact during the playoffs. He set a new NFL rookie record for most receiving yards (160) in a playoff game during the Seahawks’ 17-9 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
