5 offenses that improved the most using the NFL Draft

Joe Burrow, Bengals, NFL Draft

Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals added the most talented offensive player in the 2020 NFL Draft by taking Joe Burrow with the No. 1 selection. With the quarterback position being so important, the results should show right out of the gate.

It was a real struggle for the Bengals in passing situations last season. Cincinnati totaled 3,652 passing yards (19th), 18 touchdowns (T-28th), and 16 interceptions (T-23rd). Worst of all, they recorded just a 57.8% completion percentage (30th).

There was too much of a reliance on Tyler Boyd last season as he was targeted 148 times. The results he achieved were effective as he recorded 90 receptions for 1,046 yards and five touchdowns. Getting A.J. Green back from injury will help but so will the selection of Tee Higgins.

There is enough talent in the Bengals’ offense for Burrow to be able to showcase his abilities as a rookie. It’s not an easy division to enter right so Cincinnati’s overall record may not be great, but they should make very noticeable strides on offense in 2020.
