Earl Thomas, S, Seattle Seahawks
Green Bay’s biggest problem – at least in my opinion – has been a lack of an impact defender on the last line of their defense. Safety has been a serious problem area for this defense and even after improving their cornerback talent, Green Bay’s pass defense has still suffered because of it.
The Packers traded away contract year safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix mid-season because he wasn’t worth the money he’s going to be owed. That doesn’t mean Green Bay shouldn’t be interested in forking some cash over to a stud safety that is worth it.
Earl Thomas may have some bad blood with the Packers after spending all of his career in Seattle thus far, but the two sides need to squash that beef and unite. Green Bay’s defense is slowly trending upwards and signing on a stud presence at the back of their defense will help them improve across the board.
