Tevin Coleman, RB, Atlanta Falcons
The Packers unearthed a potential gem in current starting tailback, Aaron Jones. They just don’t have much else behind him.
Ty Montgomery was traded away during the season and Jamaal Williams is the only other competent runner on the team. He’s serviceable, but he’s a plodding type and doesn’t offer much big play ability.
A huge component missing from Green Bay’s offense is that home run upside from a lot of their skill position players. Aaron Rodgers usually needs to launch the ball deep down the field to spring a big play, but across the NFL you see players on other teams create their own madness in space.
Green Bay needs running back depth and they also need speed. Coleman could price himself out of Atlanta and his speed should be attractive to a lot of teams. If the Packers can talk him into a mild discount, he could form quite the one-two punch with Jones.
